Twenty-five Degrees Colder Today.
Yesterday, I was cycling in shorts and a sleeveless shirt. Today I was wearing my winter cycling gear and thought I was going to freeze off some important body parts. Yesterday was sunny and in the afternoon it was 78 degrees. Today it never got above 53 degrees and it was foggy in the morning and cloudy this afternoon.

Yesterday Coyote Hills, today Coyote Point
Believe it or not, Coyote Hills is in the east bay near Fremont and Coyote Point is in the west bay near Burlingame. About 20 miles apart by freeway and 40 plus miles apart by bike trail. Not sure why they where named like that, if I ever find out I will post the info.

Coyote Hills Regional Park
Well I made it back to Fremont today and rode around Coyote Hills Park. It has some really steep hills but very nice trails. Here are the pictures I promised. Not as many as I wanted to take but forgot to charge the camera battery.

Wonderful Day
Today was so warm that I was able to ride the bay trail in a sleeveless shirt and shorts. That is a bit weird for January even in California. I think I will try riding to Coyote Hills Regional Park and Don Edwards Wildlife Refuge in Fremont. I will need to leave by 9:30 to ride the whole circuit as it has been almost 20 years since I visited Coyote Hills Regional Park and do not know the trails. Once there I will want to take my time just so I do not crash down a hillside. If I go I will post pictures tomorrow.

Weather Has Been Great
January all of a sudden became dry and very warm. It has been in 66 degrees to 75 degrees since the 14th of the month. I have taken a ride of at least 40 miles each of the past seven days. The remainder of the month looks as if it will stay warm so riding 600 miles or more should be easy as I have passed the 500 mile today.
I decided to ride to Fremont today just for a change of pace. I visited where Sue and I used to live. It has changed quite a bit. The townhouses are a bit run down and the trees are over grown. There are new stores in what where vacant lots when we lived there.

January has been COLD
I have set the following goals for the year.
Resolutions:
- Ride everyday possible no matter the weather.
- Ride at least 600 miles a month during January, February and March
- Ride more hills
- Get weight down to 125 pounds.
- Increase size of all muscle groups especially the arms and abdominal area.
I have ridden 202 miles so far this month but have only been able to ride six days. The reasons were one day of hard rain, one day that did not get above 35 degrees. The remaining three days I was visiting my parents to watch the bowl games and last 49ER game of the 2010 season. Should be able to reach 600 miles at this pace.
Weight is down to 129 pounds so it is very possible I can loose 4 more pounds of body fat while still increasing overall muscle size. I have done about half the riding this month in the hills, and it is getting easier each time.
