Heavy Rain in June

I can not believe it, but it rained today, not a light drizzle but a heavy rain. I started out on a bicycle ride at around 11AM but only went about 2 miles before I was soaked to the skin. I turned around and went home.

It has been Summer for a week and a half

I have had a chance to get out for a ride almost every day for the last two weeks.  The weather has been hot and there has not been much wind. I think about stopping and taking a photograph or two, but something always causes me to keep moving.  Mostly the desire to reach 800 miles before the month is out I am sure I can because I have managed to get in 702 miles.

Summer Has Started

It was 85 to 90 degrees on the bay trail this afternoon. There was a nice breeze so it did not feel that warm.

The Weather Has Been Great

Over this past week the weather has been just great for riding. However I was unable to take advantage of it because I had to take my father to visit his doctors on Tuesday to see his cardiologist because of his changing heart rate and on Friday to see his GP because his hip and groin have been hurting.  Both appointments where positive so that makes me feel good.  The days I have gone out it has been between 70 and 80 degrees.  I have been rushed however and have not had time for photographs.  I will try for some photos this coming week.

A bit on the windy side today

I got out of the house right on time today and rode to the Milbrae Gate of the San Francisco International Airport.  On the way home I ran into a very strong head wind which really slowed me down.  So instead of riding the trail through Foster City, I cut the ride a bit short buy going west at Belmont and then south on El Camino so that I would get home in time.  I discovered a light switch in my kitchen was not working this morning so I stopped along the way and got a new switch and replaced it a few minutes ago.  I know I could of had the maintenance man for the apartment complex replace it but do not like people in my apartment when I am not home.  Sure hope it is less windy tomorrow.

It rained yesterday

A rain storm on June 4th that was like a rain storm on March 4th.  I have the feeling that this summer is going to be colder and wetter than last summer.  I instead went to the grocery store and the tanning salon almost drowning each time I got out of the car.  I sure hope the weather is better this coming week.

Two Good Rides

I managed to get out for a ride both yesterday and today.  The weather has not been very warm, but there was no wind and no rain.  I almost did not get out today because Dad's heart rate was elevated most of last night.  However he was back to normal by mid-morning so he told me to take a ride.  I always do what my Dad tells me. I do not think I will get out tomorrow or Sunday because heavy rain is forecast, this is just not June weather!
If the rain holds off Sunday afternoon and Dad is feeling well we need to go to Costco anyway.

The weather was okay but...

The weather was reasonable, however I did not get out for a ride because Dad had minor foot surgery and Mom was afraid of him going alone.  So I spent most of the day at Kaiser hospital and puttering about my parent's house.
